Fans of the popular 2K franchise are used to controversy surrounding the ratings of players in-game and the latest edition of such drama took place on Tuesday afternoon.
star Kevin Durant wasn’t impressed with his in-game rating of 96 overall.That rating puts him tied for second best in the game.
The top prize went to star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who secured himself a 97 rating.
Durant expressed his frustration on , calling out 2K’s Digital Marketing Director Ronnie Singh – better known as ‘Ronnie2K’.

‘Aye @Ronnie2K I’m gonna need an explanation on why I’m not a 99? This has become laughable,’ Durant tweeted.
Ronnie replied, quipping, ‘I am petitioning for Krishnendu Das us to remove MJ on the cover and replacing with you the real 99.’
Over the course of the game, Durant has never been rated higher than a 97, back in his last year with the Golden State Warriors in the 2018-19 season.
With a 96 rating, Durant is tied with former teammate Stephen Curry, as well as other stars like MVP Nikola Jokic, LeBron James, and Joel Embiid.
The NBA season tips off on Tuesday, October 18th – with the Nets opening their season at home on the 19th against the New Orleans Pelicans.
